Eligibility

• Be actively pursuing a PhD at a degree-granting accredited institution when applying as a student
• Be enrolled in one of the eligible regions listed by Microsoft Research
• Submit to a research challenge that accepts student proposals
• Meet the specific eligibility rules for the selected research challenge
• Allow payment to be made to the institution rather than directly to the individual
• Participate in collaboration activities defined for the challenge if selected
