Mhari Saito Scholarship
Offered by No Stomach For Cancer
About this scholarship
No Stomach For Cancer’s Mhari Saito Scholarship helps medical students and other health professionals in training attend a significant educational or scientific conference of a national or international medical or professional association related to gastric cancer. One or more awards of at least $1,000 are made annually, and the official sponsor page currently states that applications are being accepted. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited medical school, residency, or fellowship program and show a specific interest in gastric-cancer research, a genuine desire to deepen their knowledge, and commitment to the organization’s mission. A complete application is due at least three months before the proposed CME or other accredited event. Supporting materials include two non-family reference letters addressing integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician; a school letter verifying qualifying full-time medical enrollment; and a typed one-page essay explaining the applicant’s interest in gastric cancer and expected contributions to the field. After attending, the recipient must provide proof of attendance within one month and a short written account of the experience. The direct application link opens the sponsor’s scholarship form rather than a general organization homepage.
