Messiah University Christian Leadership in Esports Scholarship

Offered by Messiah University

About this scholarship

Messiah University’s Christian Leadership in Esports Scholarship offers admitted incoming first-year and transfer students $1,000 to $5,000 for the academic year. The award can be combined with Messiah’s Provost and Messiah merit scholarships and is renewable when a recipient remains an active, constructive member of the esports program and maintains satisfactory academic progress. Applicants need an active history of playing or competing in a title supported by Messiah, currently including League of Legends, Valorant, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Rocket League. The program gives preference to players with high-ranking competitive experience—or the ability and willingness to train to team standards—who also demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude and interest in developing Christian leadership within esports. An applicant must first be accepted to Messiah as a new fall first-year or transfer student. The student then completes the dedicated scholarship form, describes competitive experience, and supplies links to relevant player profiles. The head esports coach reviews submissions and invites eligible candidates to an interview. Messiah does not publish a fixed closing date, so qualified admitted students should apply promptly while roster and scholarship funding remain available.
