Massachusetts Insurance Career Pathway Scholarship
Offered by Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents
About this scholarship
The Massachusetts Insurance Career Pathway Scholarship covers the full $2,000 value of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents’ six-month Personal Lines training program. The package includes course tuition and materials plus one attempt at the Massachusetts property-and-casualty licensing examination. Participants receive insurance fundamentals, licensing preparation, agency operations and management instruction, professional development, job-readiness support, and placement assistance; employment is not guaranteed. The opportunity is intended for adults entering the independent-insurance field rather than people already working in it. Applicants must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, eligible for a Massachusetts insurance license, able to pay any licensing fees outside the covered exam attempt, and prepared to take the required examinations. The embedded official application asks for a résumé and short written responses about interest in insurance, a challenge overcome, community involvement, and professional goals. Qualified candidates are interviewed on a rolling basis. A $150 commitment fee is due only after acceptance and is refunded after successful completion. Recipients must attend and complete the entire six-month program, participate professionally, and engage with placement activities.
