Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship
Offered by Daughters of the American Revolution
About this scholarship
The Lillian and Arthur Dunn Scholarship is a Daughters of the American Revolution award for the child or stepchild of a current, dues-paying DAR member. Two recipients receive $2,500 per year, and the undergraduate award may continue for as many as four years, giving one student a potential maximum of $10,000. The live DAR opportunity requires the applicant to include the mother's DAR national membership number, so families should locate that information before beginning the form. Renewal is not automatic merely because the student remains enrolled: the recipient must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale. DAR also permits an outstanding graduate student who meets the family-membership requirement to reapply annually for up to four additional years of study, although the graduate award is considered through a new application rather than an undergraduate renewal. The official portal lists January 31, 2027 as the current deadline. Applicants should complete the eligibility and supporting-document sections in the DAR portal early enough to resolve membership-number or recommendation issues before submission.
