Lakehead University International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships
Offered by Lakehead University
About this scholarship
Lakehead University's International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships are automatic awards for high-achieving non-Canadian students entering Lakehead from high school or transferring from an international college or university. For 2026-2027, Lakehead lists three tiers based on Canadian-equivalent admission average: 90.0% or higher (or IB 35+) receives CAD $40,000 total, paid as CAD $10,000 per year for four years; 80.0% to 89.9% (IB 30-34) receives CAD $30,000 total, paid as CAD $7,500 per year for four years; and 75.0% to 79.9% (IB 28-29) receives a one-time CAD $6,000 award in year one. The awards are automatically considered and do not require a separate scholarship application, and scholarship offers are included in the letter of acceptance. Renewable tiers require maintaining the specified annual average, and the maximum scholarship term is four academic years or until the first degree is awarded, whichever comes first. The award is partial funding because it reduces tuition but does not fully cover all tuition, housing, food, health insurance, travel, books, and personal expenses. Recipients must enter year 1, 2, or 3 of a minimum four-year undergraduate degree program.
