About this scholarship
The Kent State University Global Scholarship is a renewable undergraduate award for incoming international students at the Kent campus. Kent State lists the Global Scholarship for admitted international undergraduate degree-seeking students beginning Fall 2023 and provides a published annual table based on U.S.-equivalent GPA. Students admitted to the Honors College receive $15,000 plus a separate Honors Scholarship, while other Global Scholarship levels range from $4,300 to $12,000 per year depending on GPA. ESL-only and visiting students may receive $4,300 per year if they meet enrollment rules. The scholarship is partial funding because Kent State explicitly states that international undergraduate and graduate scholarships do not cover full tuition, fees, and living expenses. Students are automatically considered upon admission; there is no separate Global Scholarship application. To be eligible for a fall start, a student must be admitted by July 1, with November 1 and March 1 deadlines listed for spring and summer. Renewal requires continuous in-person full-time enrollment at the Kent campus, at least 12 credit hours per semester, and good academic standing.
