JFEW–CUNY Hillel Scholarship

Offered by Jewish Foundation for Education of Women and Commonpoint CUNY Hillel Career Connect

About this scholarship

The JFEW–CUNY Hillel Scholarship combines three years of financial support with a paid summer internship, professional-development workshops, mentoring, career services, and individualized guidance. The Jewish Foundation for Education of Women funds the program, while Commonpoint’s CUNY Hillel Career Connect provides the current student-facing application and career programming. The opportunity is designed for young women who are active in participating CUNY Hillels and are in their first undergraduate year with three academic years remaining. JFEW identifies the participating Hillels at Baruch College, Hunter College, Brooklyn College, the College of Staten Island, and Queens College. Commonpoint describes its Career Connect population as ages 18–22 and provides on-site and virtual career counseling, networking, workshops, professional connections, and paid internships. The scholarship is commonly described as $12,000 across the three-year program, in addition to its internship and professional benefits. Applicants should use the live “Learn More and Apply Now” form linked by Commonpoint rather than a commercial scholarship-directory button. Neither Commonpoint nor JFEW currently publishes a closing date on the public program pages, so interested students should submit promptly and contact the program director at the email shown on Commonpoint’s page to confirm the cohort timeline, documentation requirements, and their CUNY Hillel’s participation before relying on a directory-projected July deadline.
