Jennifer Casey Alderman Legacy Scholarship Award

Offered by Twisted Pink

About this scholarship

Twisted Pink and Jennifer Alderman’s family and friends offer the Jennifer Casey Alderman Legacy Scholarship Award to help a young adult pursue higher education after metastatic breast cancer has affected the applicant’s family. The annual award totals $10,000, distributed as $2,500 per year for as many as four undergraduate years. To retain the annual payment, the recipient must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must live in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, or Tennessee and either have lost a parent to metastatic breast cancer or be experiencing financial hardship because a parent is currently living with metastatic breast cancer. The sponsor’s official program page provides the complete application route: submit an essay on a subject of the applicant’s choice, limited to five pages, together with proof of the qualifying family circumstance. Acceptable proof is an obituary, a death certificate, or a signed letter from the parent’s medical oncologist. Materials may be mailed to the Twisted Pink scholarship address shown on the page or emailed to the organization using the required scholarship subject line. The sponsor describes April 15 as the annual application deadline and presents the award each May 28. Because email submissions may contain sensitive medical or family records, applicants should follow the official instructions precisely and confirm receipt with Twisted Pink.
