Jean Roebuck Lovelace Nursing Scholarship
Offered by Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation
About this scholarship
The Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation offers the Jean Roebuck Lovelace Nursing Scholarship to an African American graduating senior from Pennsylvania’s Alle-Kiski Valley who has financial need and has been accepted into qualifying nursing education. The $2,500 award may support a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at an accredited college or university or a registered-nursing program at an accredited school of nursing. The sponsor hosts the complete application directly on its scholarship page. Applicants provide contact and high-school information, GPA and available test scores, honors, work and volunteer experience, nursing-school and degree details, expected graduation dates, and a description of their career plans. Required uploads include the nursing program’s acceptance letter, a high-school or GED diploma, and a financial-aid letter showing the cost of attendance, grants or scholarships already received, remaining need, and expected family contribution. The personal essay should explain the applicant’s motivation for becoming a nurse, the determination needed to complete the program, the importance of the award, and any other relevant circumstances. The live form does not publish a closing date or identify a specific award year. Applicants should therefore contact the Foundation at the phone number or email on the official page to confirm that submissions are currently being reviewed before uploading personal documents.
