Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
Offered by Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
About this scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship helps exceptional community-college students complete bachelor’s degrees with as little debt as possible. The last-dollar award can provide up to $55,000 per year after institutional aid for the final two or three years of undergraduate study. It may pay a significant share of tuition, living expenses, books, and required fees at any accredited four-year institution, and recipients can pursue any field. Scholars also receive advising for the transfer transition, career and graduate-school preparation, and opportunities to seek internship, conference, travel, and graduate funding. Approximately 65 awards are made annually. For the 2027 transfer class, applicants must be current students at accredited U.S. community colleges or two-year institutions with sophomore status by January 1, 2027, or graduates of such institutions since spring 2022. They need at least a 3.50 cumulative undergraduate GPA, must plan full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s program in fall 2027, and must demonstrate unmet financial need; the Foundation considers adjusted gross income up to $95,000 and reviews family assets. Prior attendance at a four-year institution generally disqualifies an applicant, subject to the official limited exceptions. The Common App for Transfer closes December 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
