Iowa State University International Student Excellence Award
Offered by Iowa State University
About this scholarship
The Iowa State University International Student Excellence Award recognizes academic excellence and strong achievement among incoming international undergraduates. First-year international students are automatically awarded based on high school GPA and, for some award levels, SAT or ACT scores. Published first-year awards include the President's Award at $14,000 per year, Dean's Award at $12,000, Innovator's Award at $10,000, and Launchpad Award at $6,000. Transfer students are automatically awarded based on transfer GPA, with the Transfer Gold Scholar at $8,000 per year and Transfer Cardinal Scholar at $4,000. The award is partial funding because it applies only to undergraduate tuition and fees and does not cover all tuition, living expenses, health insurance, travel, books, or personal costs. Students do not submit a separate scholarship application for the Excellence Award, but they must be offered admission, be assessed international tuition, accept their offer by the published fall or spring deadline, and remain continuously enrolled in at least 12 semester credits each semester, excluding summer.
