The University of Kentucky International Ambassador Scholarship supports new international freshmen and transfer students who can represent UK to prospective students around the world. UK states that the team is built for geographic diversity, so not all qualified applicants receive an award.

Eligibility

• Apply to and be admitted to the University of Kentucky before scholarship consideration
• Be a new freshman or transfer student who graduated from a high school outside the United States
• Be subject to non-resident tuition
• Have a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Current UK students, exchange students, and visiting students are not eligible
• Submit the Ambassador Scholarship application with a 500-word essay
• Submit a recommendation letter addressing ambassador potential
• Participate in further video and group-interview stages if advanced
