The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation Scholarship is one of India's most prestigious awards for young Indian graduates of exceptional talent, character, and motivation, enabling overseas study at a top-rated university or institution of their choice across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States in a full-time master's, MPhil, or doctoral programme. The Foundation provides up to US$120,000 toward tuition, living costs, and one-way travel; where the total cost of a programme exceeds this ceiling, candidates must provide documented evidence that they can cover the additional amount themselves. The scholarship spans a wide range of subjects, though some fields and degree types are restricted (applicants should check the current subject rules). Eligibility centres on being an Indian citizen with a strong academic record — for social sciences, humanities, law, and fine/performing arts, generally a minimum of 65% or CGPA 6.8/10 (GPA 2.6/4), with art and design applicants assessed primarily on portfolio.
