Huppuch Graduate Tuition Scholarship in Great Lakes Environmental Science
Offered by Great Lakes Center at SUNY Buffalo State University
About this scholarship
The Huppuch Graduate Tuition Scholarship helps thesis-track students in Buffalo State University’s Great Lakes Environmental Science M.A. program pay tuition, mandatory fees, and required books. Up to three awards may be made, each worth no more than $12,000 for an academic year or $6,000 for one semester. First-year applicants must be accepted to the thesis-track program, have at least a 3.3 undergraduate GPA, identify a Buffalo State faculty member who supports their application, and submit a single-spaced statement of no more than one page describing their research interests. Second-year applicants must have completed at least 12 graduate credits, hold a 3.0 or higher graduate GPA, and have successfully defended a thesis proposal. The Center accepts applications throughout the year, but students seeking fall support receive full consideration when they apply by April 1. The live Qualtrics form is the direct application route. Scholarship support is limited to two awards over a student’s graduate career, and the exact payment cannot exceed the eligible cost of attendance. Because this is a tuition scholarship for students already entering or continuing Buffalo State’s specialized thesis program, prospective students should first complete the university admission process and coordinate with a potential faculty adviser.
