Hopi Educational Enrichment Award

Offered by Hopi Tribe Grants and Scholarships Program

About this scholarship

The Hopi Educational Enrichment Award helps students build practical, technical, academic, or research skills through a special learning activity outside ordinary tuition and books. Current students from grade five through postsecondary education may request 75% of the activity budget, up to $500 per calendar year, while the student or family provides the remaining 25%. Examples include space or mathematics camps, AISES activities, Close Up, and pre-college orientations. The award does not cover ordinary class trips, sports-oriented activities, standard tuition or books, consecutive attendance at the same activity, or reimbursement for an activity already paid for, underway, or completed. Applicants use the official fillable-style PDF and submit it at least 30 days before the event. The packet must include Hopi enrollment verification and supporting records such as registration information, a brochure, an admission letter, sponsorship documentation, and a complete expense and contribution budget. After participating, the recipient must provide a one-page, double-spaced typed essay about the learning experience within 30 days. Missing that report blocks future funding until the obligation is corrected.
