Hope For The Warriors Honorary Scholarship

About this scholarship

The Hope For The Warriors Honorary Scholarship supports post-9/11 military spouses and caregivers who are pursuing graduate or postgraduate education. It is one of five distinct education tracks in the organization’s Military Spouse & Caregiver Scholarship Program. Current awards may be used at accredited U.S. colleges and universities, and Hope For The Warriors sends funds directly to the institution for tuition, books, and required supplies. The sponsor does not publish a fixed current award amount or number of recipients, so both vary by selection cycle. Applicants begin with the secure Connect to Services intake rather than a public scholarship form. The intake team confirms military-family eligibility and, when appropriate, helps the applicant request an invitation to the Honorary Scholarship application. The core program serves spouses or caregivers of post-9/11 service members or veterans whose circumstances involve a combat-related injury and/or a 100% permanent and total VA disability rating, including Individual Unemployability. The official page defines combat-related injuries as those resulting from armed conflict, hazardous duty, an instrumentality of war, or simulated-war environments. The current Spring cycle runs from August 1 through September 30, 2026. Because referrals close three business days before the application deadline, students should complete the intake well before September 30.

Eligibility

• Be the spouse or caregiver of a post-9/11 service member or veteran
• Have a qualifying family circumstance involving a combat-related injury and/or a 100% permanent and total VA disability rating, including Individual Unemployability
• Pursue a graduate or postgraduate degree
• Attend an accredited U.S. college or university
• Complete the secure Hope For The Warriors Connect to Services intake
• Receive and complete an invitation to the applicable scholarship application before the current-cycle deadline
