Holisso Pisachi Education Scholarship
Offered by The Chickasaw Nation and East Central University
About this scholarship
The Holisso Pisachi Education Scholarship supports Chickasaw students preparing for careers in education at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. The official program covers full tuition, required fees, and housing and pairs the award with part-time employment in the Chickasaw Nation Department of Education. That work component gives recipients practical experience while they complete an education degree. Because the published benefit does not explicitly include meals, books, transportation, or every personal expense, it is classified as partial funding and its value is left variable rather than estimated. Applicants must be Chickasaw citizens, pursue an education degree at ECU, meet the university’s admission and enrollment standards, and be able to complete the department’s part-time work commitment. The Chickasaw higher-education application requires a transcript and class schedule, while the authenticated portal may request additional program documents. The Nation accepts applications from December 1 through February 15 for spring, May 1 through July 1 for summer, and July 15 through September 15 for fall. Students should also complete East Central University admission on the university’s timetable. The direct My Chickasaw portal is the official scholarship application route.
