Heidelberg University Out-of-State Grant
Offered by Heidelberg University
About this scholarship
Heidelberg University’s Out-of-State Grant reduces undergraduate costs for U.S. students whose permanent residence is outside Ohio. For terms beginning January 2025 or later, residents of California, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, or Texas may receive up to $3,000 per year. Students from every other non-Ohio state may receive up to $1,500 per year. The award can renew for four years, so the highest annual tier can total up to $12,000 across four years; $12,000 is not the current one-year value. Heidelberg does not publish a separate grant application. Prospective students use the university’s live undergraduate admission portal and complete the normal financial-aid steps so the Financial Aid Office can build the institutional award into the student’s package. New applicants must submit required academic documents, including a transcript, during admission; test scores, an essay, and recommendation letters are encouraged but generally optional under Heidelberg’s holistic process. Like other Heidelberg gift aid, the Out-of-State Grant cannot cause total university gift assistance to exceed current tuition. Renewal also requires satisfactory academic progress, including completion of at least 67 percent of attempted hours each academic year and a minimum 2.0 GPA by the end of the sophomore year. Students should confirm the final annual amount in their official aid offer.
