Grotelueschen Graduate Student Scholarship
Offered by Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association
About this scholarship
The Grotelueschen Graduate Student Scholarship supports experienced veterinarians pursuing advanced training in Veterinary Production Medicine and Epidemiology. The Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association administers up to $6,000 per recipient in three stages: $3,000 after approval, $2,000 after graduation, and $1,000 after the recipient presents research results at a recognized professional program. Applicants must be graduate veterinarians with at least two years of clinical-practice experience and be accepted into or enrolled in an approved master’s or doctoral program in the designated discipline. The selection process gives preference to veterinarians who have practiced in Nebraska, are NVMA members, or graduated from a Nebraska high school, although the official page frames these as preferences rather than universal requirements. An institutional representative must provide a letter to the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Scholarship Foundation office confirming the candidate’s enrollment and field of study. The scholarship’s milestone structure encourages recipients to finish the graduate degree and share their findings with the profession. Applications are currently accepted through the dedicated official form, with a September 1, 2026 deadline. Candidates should arrange the institutional letter before beginning the submission so the application can be completed without delay.
