About this scholarship
The Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship (BDGS) is a fully funded award offered by Brunei's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to international students for diploma, undergraduate, and master's study at the country's public institutions: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), and Politeknik Brunei. The scholarship exempts recipients from tuition and other compulsory fees, and provides a monthly allowance of BND $650, accommodation, a meal and book allowance, and one return economy-class air ticket to Brunei. Applicants must be foreign nationals (Brunei permanent residents are not eligible), and there are age limits — not exceeding 25 for diploma/undergraduate and 35 for postgraduate master's programmes on the first day of July in the year the programme starts. English proficiency is required (an O-Level Credit 6, IGCSE grade C, IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL 550). Applicants apply online through the BDGS system portal and must also complete the separate application for their chosen university by the deadline.

- Also complete the application for your chosen Brunei institution
