About this scholarship
The GHR Fellows Program is a four-year, full-tuition scholarship and leadership cohort for incoming first-year students pursuing business at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Fellows also receive a fully funded J-Term study-abroad experience, individual career coaching, service-learning and social-entrepreneurship opportunities, access to senior business and community leaders, sequenced cohort seminars, and a capstone. Students with demonstrated financial need may receive additional grant funds toward room and board, although aid from all sources cannot exceed the cost of attendance. The scholarship replaces other St. Thomas merit scholarships initially offered and may cause other aid adjustments. Selection looks for academic and service leaders, creative problem solvers, and students who act with integrity, value difference, live inclusively, and support others. Applicants must be incoming first-year undergraduates planning a business degree; academic achievement is required, with preference for a GPA of 3.7 or higher. To apply, a student first submits a University of St. Thomas admission application, then enters the Admissions Application Portal, selects “Apply for Scholarships,” and completes the GHR Fellows application by January 8, 2027. International applicants use the same scholarship route after logging into their admissions portal. Finalists must attend GHR Fellows Scholarship Day on February 27, and winners are announced in March 2027. A nomination is welcomed but is not required.
Eligibility
- Apply as an incoming first-year undergraduate student at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota
- Plan to pursue a business degree
- Demonstrate academic achievement, with preference given to a GPA of 3.7 or higher
- Show leadership in academics and service and an ability to solve problems creatively
- Model integrity, inclusion, respect for difference, and commitment to others’ success
- Submit the University admission application before accessing the scholarship application
- Complete the GHR Fellows application in the St. Thomas Admissions Application Portal by January 8, 2027
- Attend Scholarship Day on February 27, 2027 if selected as a finalist
