GFWC Massachusetts Memorial Education Scholarship for Graduate Study

Offered by General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts

About this scholarship

The GFWC Massachusetts Memorial Education Scholarship for Graduate Study provides at least $3,000 to a Massachusetts resident pursuing graduate education in economics or finance. The 2027 award honors past state president Jen Nowak and is described on the official scholarship page as a Business Administration scholarship in an economics or finance field. Applicants submit the one-page form with a personal statement of no more than 500 words addressing professional goals and financial need, official transcripts from every college or graduate school attended, and a reference from a college department chair or recent employer on official letterhead. The packet also includes a copy of a Massachusetts driver’s license or identification card, a personal resume, and confirmation of graduate-program acceptance if already received. A recipient who has not yet supplied acceptance confirmation must do so before the scholarship check can be issued. GFWC Massachusetts prefers electronic submission as PDF or Word documents to the Headquarters email printed in the form, with the scholarship title in the subject line; applicants may instead mail all materials together to the Memorial Education Committee. Complete entries must be received by March 1, 2027. Finalists are contacted by March 15 to arrange a remote or in-person interview, with March 20 as the target interview date. The isolated 2021 date printed on one line of the current PDF is a template error; its title, instructions, and official listing consistently identify the 2027 cycle.
