Fulgham-Fulghum National Family Foundation Scholarship

Offered by Fulgham-Fulghum National Family Foundation, Inc.

About this scholarship

The Fulgham-Fulghum National Family Foundation awards one $3,000 scholarship each year to a graduating high-school senior or rising college freshman who has been accepted by a college or university. The competition is open across fields, although the foundation gives priority to applicants preparing for careers in teaching, social services, or nursing. Family membership or descent is not stated as an eligibility condition. Applicants must first request the foundation’s official paper application by postal mail; the request must include a self-addressed, first-class-stamped envelope and reach the scholarship contact by March 15. The completed packet is then due April 15. A valid submission includes the official application and financial statement, a college acceptance letter, official high-school and any college transcripts, a record of community achievements and volunteer service, and a 150-word essay explaining the applicant’s goals, educational choice, interests, and employment experience. The scholarship committee reviews complete applications and grants the award in June to the student it judges most deserving. Only the selected recipient is notified. Because there is no online form, the linked scholarship section is the sponsor’s exact application-instructions page and provides the required mailing contact and annual dates.
