About this scholarship

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program for Filipinos is the Philippine-American Educational Foundation route for Filipino citizens to pursue graduate study or non-degree doctoral dissertation research in the United States. The official page states that grants support graduate-level master's or doctoral studies, or non-degree doctoral dissertation research, and provide round-trip international travel, monthly maintenance allowance, tuition and fees, book and supplies allowance, and health and accident insurance. The award is recorded as full funding because the benefits cover the major academic, travel, insurance, and living-cost components of the grant. Duration is capped at one academic year for non-degree research, one to two years for master's study, and two years for doctoral degree studies. Eligible fields include Study of the United States, Global Issues such as environment, human rights, governance, public health, STEM, international law and business, and open grants outside excluded fields. Medicine, nursing, physical and occupational therapy, clinical psychology, medical technology, accountancy, and some applied fields are excluded. The 2027-2028 application was open with an April 30, 2026 deadline.
