Fresno Pacific University Mennonite Brethren Scholarship
Offered by Fresno Pacific University
About this scholarship
The Fresno Pacific University Mennonite Brethren Scholarship provides up to $4,000 per year for as many as four academic years, for a maximum potential value of $16,000. It is designed for first-time freshmen and transfer students who regularly attend or are members in good standing of a Mennonite Brethren church and enroll full time in Fresno Pacific’s traditional undergraduate program. The award applies to tuition only; it does not cover fees, housing, or meals. It is applied before institutional need-based aid, may be adjusted under Student Financial Services policy, and cannot cause a student’s institutional awards to exceed tuition or documented financial need. Applicants first apply to and gain admission to Fresno Pacific University. They then complete the official Mennonite Brethren Church Membership/Attendance Form, which requires the student’s certification and confirmation from a pastor, elder, or deacon that the congregation belongs to the Mennonite Brethren denomination and that the student regularly attends or is a member in good standing. The completed form is due July 15 for fall enrollment or December 1 for spring enrollment and is returned to Student Financial Services. Recipients must notify the University if their membership or attendance ends; remaining current-year funds and future installments may then be canceled. The scholarship excludes graduate and degree-completion programs and is not refundable as excess cash aid.
