FORAship Scholarship and Internship Program
Offered by Architects FORA
About this scholarship
Architects FORA’s FORAship combines tuition support with sustained professional experience for architecture students from groups that are underrepresented or underrecognized in the profession. One FORA Fellow receives a $3,000 scholarship and a year-long remote paid internship at $25 per hour. The internship is full time from approximately June through August 2027, then becomes flexible and part time through May 2028. The firm may also divide at least $2,000 among additional FORA Scholars. Applicants may be community-college or undergraduate architecture students in their second year or later, or graduate architecture students. They may live anywhere in the United States but must be legally authorized to work in the country and have a GPA of at least 3.0. Previous applicants and FORA Scholars may reapply; previous FORA Fellows cannot, and studying abroad during the awarded year is not permitted. The application requires a résumé or CV, a design portfolio or portfolio link, an essay of no more than 1,000 words about the applicant’s perspective and community impact, and a faculty recommendation. Applications open February 1 and close March 7, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Finalists interview in March, and recipients are announced April 12.
