Folds of Honor Higher Education Scholarship
Offered by Folds of Honor Foundation
About this scholarship
The Folds of Honor Higher Education Scholarship helps spouses and dependent children of fallen or disabled U.S. service members cover unmet postsecondary education costs. Eligible students may attend an accredited two-year or four-year institution or an approved vocational, technical, certificate, or licensure program in the United States. Awards are need based and can reach $5,000 for the academic year, with no more than $2,500 per term and no payment above the student’s verified unmet need. Funds are sent directly to the educational institution. The sponsor’s annual application window runs from February 1 through March 31; because that schedule is explicitly recurring, the next deadline is March 31, 2027. Applicants submit every required form and supporting document through the official CommunityForce portal—Folds of Honor does not accept scholarship documentation by mail, fax, email, or phone. Award recipients must provide recent official transcripts showing at least a 2.0 term GPA for the two most recent academic terms. Permitted costs are limited by program rules and do not include such items as off-campus housing, parking or transportation passes, computers, Greek housing, or prior-year charges. Applicants must reapply each year and should review the current military-family eligibility PDF before starting.
