Florida Engineering Society High School Scholarships

Offered by Florida Engineering Foundation and Florida Engineering Society

About this scholarship

The Florida Engineering Society High School Scholarships recognize Florida graduating seniors who plan to enter engineering. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have attended at least one semester at and graduate from a Florida school, and hold a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. They also must meet the SAT or ACT threshold that will be published in the current application. A recipient must ultimately enroll in an undergraduate engineering program accredited by ABET’s Engineering Accreditation Commission. The required package includes the Society’s Excel application, a certified high school transcript and any certified college transcript for dual-enrollment work, a signed certification and information-release sheet, and official IB, AICE, and AP examination results where applicable. The online scholarship submission form accepts the electronic pieces; any transcript that cannot be sent electronically must go to the applicant’s local FES chapter representative by the same deadline. The official page states that the 2026–27 application will be posted in December 2026 and submissions are due February 15, 2027. The Florida Engineering Foundation is providing $36,000 across its current high school, university, and named scholarship programs, but the sponsor has not yet published the exact 2027 high-school award value, so the older fixed $3,000 figure is not presented as guaranteed.
