Farmingdale State College Tuition Access Grant

About this scholarship

The Farmingdale State College Tuition Access Grant, or TAG, is a tuition-assistance grant for new international students. Farmingdale describes TAG as a program that provides tuition assistance to all new international freshman or transfer students living on campus and helps reduce out-of-state tuition cost. The published annual grant is $2,000. The award is partial funding because it reduces tuition cost but does not cover full tuition, fees, housing, meals, health insurance, books, travel, or personal expenses. Eligible students must be new international students and must not be receiving full financial support from their government or another agency. Students receiving TAG must remain in good academic standing as determined by the academic program in which they are enrolled. New students enrolled through the program receive the annual grant until graduation, not exceeding four years, while transfer students keep the grant in continuous enrollment in proportion to accepted transfer credits. The program is reviewed annually by the Farmingdale president, but currently enrolled eligible students continue under the stated rules.

Eligibility

• Apply to Farmingdale State College as a new international freshman or transfer student
• Live on campus to qualify for TAG
• Not receive full financial support from a government or another agency
• Enroll through the TAG program
• Remain in good academic standing in the academic program
• Maintain continuous enrollment to keep the grant
• For transfer students, receive eligibility based on credits remaining in the program
