Farm and Ranch Depot Scholarship Program

Offered by Farm and Ranch Depot

About this scholarship

Farm and Ranch Depot will award one $1,000 scholarship in 2027 to a graduating high school senior pursuing agriculture, equine studies, livestock studies, or a closely related college program. The recipient must plan to attend a two-year community college or a four-year college or university. The sponsor seeks students who combine school extracurricular involvement with volunteer service in community activities that are not school sponsored. The official seven-page application asks for academic honors, activities, college plans, a short explanation of how the award would affect the student’s plans, and a separate essay of no more than 750 words about the applicant’s interest, experiences, challenges, and intended contribution to the chosen field. A teacher or volunteer-organization leader provides one recommendation, and the student’s guidance counselor must sign an endorsement confirming good academic standing and eligibility. The complete paper packet must be received by mail in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by May 1, 2027. The committee plans to select the recipient June 1. After selection, the student must provide enrollment certification by July 31, including a student ID and financial-aid-office address, so payment can be sent directly to the institution in August.
