Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters
Offered by European Union (Erasmus+)
About this scholarship
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) are prestigious, EU-funded international master's programmes delivered by consortia of universities in two or more countries, so students study and earn credits in multiple European nations and receive a joint or multiple degree. The European Union funds both the programmes and competitive full scholarships for the best students worldwide. A scholarship covers the programme's participation/tuition costs plus a monthly living allowance of around €1,400 for up to 24 months, with additional contributions toward travel and installation. Because each EMJM is run by its own consortium, applicants do not apply to a central EU office: you browse the official catalogue of available programmes, choose one that fits your field, and apply directly to that programme — usually between October and January for an autumn start. Each programme website lists the partner universities, entry requirements, and the steps to apply with or without a scholarship. EMJMs span virtually every field of study and are open to graduates from around the world.
