Elms College STEM Scholarship
Offered by Elms College
About this scholarship
The Elms College STEM Scholarship provides up to $10,000 per year plus academic and career programming to qualifying transfer students with financial need. Supported by National Science Foundation grant 2220981, it is open to prospective Elms transfers who have earned at least 60 but fewer than 90 credits. Eligible intended majors include biology, biotechnology, chemistry, computer science, computer information technology and security, data science and artificial intelligence, and mathematics. Students interested only in clinical pre-medical pathways or elementary or secondary education do not qualify under the official rules. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, admitted refugees, or lawful permanent residents and must document need through the FAFSA using Elms school code 002140. The application sequence is actionable: first apply to Elms College as a transfer student, submit the FAFSA, and then complete the linked Elms STEM Google form. The program supplements the scholarship with STEM campus jobs, research opportunities, internships, a career lecture series, faculty and peer mentoring, and an innovation challenge. Elms especially encourages women, first-generation students, and Black, Latinx, and other groups underrepresented in science to apply, but those identities are not exclusive eligibility requirements.
