Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship
Offered by The Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship Fund
About this scholarship
The Elaine Chapin Memorial Scholarship supports students in the St. Louis region whose lives have been affected by multiple sclerosis, either personally or through a family member. The Fund awards several scholarships of up to $1,000 each school year and has posted its downloadable 2027 application. Applications are accepted from November 1 through April 30 every year. Eligible students must be U.S. citizens who are enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited U.S. college, university, vocational school, or technical school. Study must lead to a degree, license, or certificate, with enrollment of at least 12 credit hours per semester. The applicant must live within 300 miles of the Fund’s St. Louis office and provide proof of residency if selected. Selection considers financial need, academic standing, and the impact of multiple sclerosis on the student’s life. A complete mailed packet contains the official application, an official transcript of the most recent grades, a personal essay of no more than 500 words explaining the MS impact, and two reference letters. The official application page provides the 2027 Word document and an email route for requesting a copy.
