EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship

Offered by Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting

About this scholarship

The EFWA Undergraduate Scholarship offers a one-time award of up to $1,500 to a woman pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting at an AACSB-accredited U.S. college or university. Accounting students completing a double major remain eligible. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate financial need by uploading a FAFSA Submission Summary or FAFSA email confirmation. This award does not impose the primary-family-support or approximate 60-credit rules attached to EFWA’s Horizons Scholarship, making it relevant to a broader range of women in accounting bachelor’s programs. The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting has published the next application period: January 4 through March 30, 2027 for study in the 2027-28 academic year. Applicants use EFWA’s common online process, upload transcripts and reference letters before the deadline, and may apply to only one EFWA scholarship in the cycle. Official transcripts are not required. Online or remote coursework qualifies when it is offered through an accredited institution. EFWA plans to complete selection by May 31, notify recipients by email, and issue available scholarship support in summer for the fall term.
