EFWA Global Undergraduate Scholarship
Offered by Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting
About this scholarship
The EFWA Global Undergraduate Scholarship is the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting’s bachelor-level award for women who are not U.S. citizens. It provides a one-time award of up to $1,500 to a financially needy student pursuing an accounting bachelor’s degree, including an eligible double major, at an AACSB-accredited college or university in the United States. This is the sole EFWA scholarship that expressly makes an exception to the Foundation’s U.S.-citizenship rule. The 2027-28 application period opens January 4 and closes March 30, 2027. Applicants document financial need with a FAFSA Submission Summary or confirmation when applicable and complete EFWA’s online process, including uploaded transcripts and reference letters. Official transcripts are not required, but every required item must reach the portal by the deadline. An applicant may seek only one EFWA scholarship per cycle. Accredited online or remote study can qualify, provided the student otherwise meets the institution and degree requirements. EFWA expects to finish selection by May 31, notify recipients by email, and make awards in summer for the fall academic term, subject to adequate program funding.
