EFWA Aspire Scholarship

Offered by Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting

About this scholarship

The EFWA Aspire Scholarship supports women with financial need who are earning an associate degree at an accredited two-year U.S. college and are the primary source of support for their family. The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting has confirmed that its 2027-28 application will open January 4, 2027 and close March 30, 2027. Awards can reach $2,000 per year for two years. Second-year support is not automatic: the recipient must document continued progress toward the degree and satisfactory coursework with at least a 2.0 GPA. EFWA’s FAQ says associate-level applicants should be pursuing a business degree, with preference for an accounting focus; qualifying online or remote courses are accepted when offered by an accredited institution. Applicants document financial need with a FAFSA Submission Summary or FAFSA confirmation, upload transcripts and reference letters through the application portal, and may apply for only one EFWA scholarship in a cycle. The primary-family-support requirement does not require the applicant to be widowed, divorced, or a parent. Awards are selected by May 31 for use in the fall term.
