Editor World First-Generation Student Scholarship

Offered by Editor World LLC

About this scholarship

The Editor World First-Generation Student Scholarship provides one $500 award for a U.S. resident enrolled or preparing to enroll in an accredited trade school, college, or university in the United States. The Spring 2027 application opens September 1, 2026 and closes December 15, 2026 Eastern Time. For this program, a first-generation student is one whose parent or parents did not attend or complete a four-year college or university degree; the educational attainment of other relatives does not control eligibility. Applicants complete the form on Editor World’s scholarship page and submit a 900-word essay. The essay must identify the training or educational program, explain at least three motivations for finishing it, and describe how the education will affect the applicant’s family or community. The $500 check is sent directly to the selected student and may be used for books, supplies, or other educational expenses. The selected recipient must respond within ten days with proof of enrollment or pre-enrollment, a headshot, an eligibility affidavit, and required liability and media releases. Failure to supply the verification on time causes forfeiture and selection of an alternate. Only one application is permitted, and a valid email address is required for notification.
