About this scholarship
Doodle for Google is Google's annual art competition for K–12 students. Under the completed 2025–26 rules, five national finalists each earned a $10,000 college scholarship. The national winner received an additional $45,000 scholarship, bringing that student's total college award to $55,000, plus a school or nonprofit technology package and display of the winning artwork on Google.com. It is partial funding because the scholarship is a one-time educational award rather than a guaranteed full cost-of-attendance package. Entrants had to be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents enrolled in an eligible public, private, or home school in the United States, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories or freely associated states, Washington, D.C., or as a student of a U.S. service member abroad. A parent, guardian, teacher, nonprofit leader, or after-school program submitted one original Google-logo interpretation per student, with required consent and a short description. The 2025–26 contest ended December 17, 2025 and its winner has been announced. Google had not announced the next entry cycle when this record was verified, so applicants should wait for new official rules rather than reusing the expired date.
Eligibility
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident
- Be enrolled in an eligible K–12 public, private, or home school in a covered U.S. jurisdiction or as a U.S. service member’s student abroad
- Submit an original Doodle artwork responding to the annual prompt
- Limit the entry to one original Doodle per student
- Have a parent, guardian, teacher, nonprofit leader, or after-school program submit the entry
- Provide parent or legal-guardian consent when required
- Follow the official entry process and deadline for the active cycle
