Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards
Offered by Helen Diller Family Foundation
About this scholarship
The Helen Diller Family Foundation recognizes up to fifteen Jewish teen leaders each year through the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards. Each recipient receives $36,000 that may be used for education or invested in the community initiative for which the teen is recognized. Awardees also attend a celebration weekend in San Francisco, join a network of young changemakers, receive guidance for strengthening their work, and gain tools to increase the visibility of their projects. The 2027 application is open to U.S. residents who will be ages 15 through 19 at the deadline and who identify as Jewish. Applicants must currently lead one specific unpaid initiative with measurable impact; a collection of unrelated volunteer activities does not qualify. The project may serve either Jewish or broader communities and can have local, national, or international reach, but the applicant’s leadership must be conducted from the United States. Self-application is permitted and nomination is not required. Applications are evaluated by more than 100 reviewers and community leaders for demonstrated leadership, commitment, measurable project impact, engagement of others, sustainability, and the applicant’s articulation of tikkun olam. The direct portal allows applicants to create an account and save work before the January 7, 2027 deadline.
