Denys Holland Scholarship (UCL)

About this scholarship

The Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London (UCL) supports undergraduate students who, without financial help, would be unable to study at UCL. It is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress, and is open to students of any nationality — both UK and Overseas fee-status applicants are eligible. The scholarship is awarded primarily on the basis of financial need, but with a distinctive emphasis on contribution to university life: applicants must demonstrate broad interests and an intention to be actively involved in extracurricular activities at UCL and the Students' Union, detailing the non-academic activities they hope to pursue as well as their financial circumstances and other funding being sought. To apply, you must hold an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study starting in September, and submit a completed application to UCL's Student Funding Office. As a partial award rather than a full ride, it is intended to help bridge a funding gap rather than cover all costs, so applicants should plan complementary funding.

Eligibility

• Hold an offer for full-time undergraduate study at UCL starting in September
• Be of UK or Overseas fee status (any nationality)
• Demonstrate financial need (would otherwise be unable to study at UCL)

• Submit a completed application to UCL's Student Funding Office
