DeNise Agriculture Scholarship

Offered by New York State Grange

About this scholarship

The DeNise Agriculture Scholarship is a $1,000 New York State Grange award for New York residents pursuing undergraduate study in agriculture. It may be used at a recognized accredited public or private institution, including a two-year associate or four-year bachelor’s program, within or outside New York. The sponsor places strong emphasis on financial need and an applicant’s agricultural orientation. The current official application packet also requires documented membership or participation in at least one of these organizations: FFA, SkillsUSA, 4-H, FCCLA, or Grange. The packet must reach the New York State Grange by mail or email no later than 11:59 p.m. on April 15; because the form is year-neutral and the program is annual, the next deadline is April 15, 2027. Applicants submit the completed form, one recommendation, a résumé covering education, work, activities, service, awards, and career goals, and a one-page essay with two responses of no more than 250 words each. Current college students also provide their most recent transcript. The application packet’s April 15 deadline is more specific and actionable than the inconsistent March 15 date on the sponsor’s summary page.
