David C. Lizárraga Fellowship

Offered by TELACU Education Foundation

About this scholarship

The David C. Lizárraga Fellowship, sponsored by Toyota and administered by the TELACU Education Foundation, combines graduate-school financial assistance with TELACU’s College Success Program support. It is intended for first-generation college students whose leadership and professional promise align with TELACU’s mission of building self-sufficient communities through economic empowerment. Applicants must pursue an advanced degree, with priority given to business and engineering; TELACU may consider other graduate disciplines at its discretion. Candidates need at least a 2.5 GPA, must enroll full time in a graduate program for the entire traditional academic year, and must be permanent residents of California, Illinois, New York, or Texas. Financial need is required. From the eligible pool, selected applicants are invited to interview and are ranked on leadership potential, professional and extracurricular achievement, commitment to community development and economic empowerment, and need for resources to complete graduate study. The College Success Program supports the August-through-June academic year and does not cover summer courses. TELACU’s official apply page links to the current application or its updated application-information form; because the sponsor does not publish a stable deadline or guaranteed amount on the current public pages, applicants should follow the live form rather than a third-party date or value.
