David Armanasco Scholarship
Offered by National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation
About this scholarship
The David Armanasco Scholarship supports postsecondary students preparing for careers in the restaurant, foodservice, hospitality, or tourism industries. Monterey County Hospitality Association identifies it as one of the hospitality scholarships founded by local industry leaders and administered through the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. Students use the NRAEF common scholarship application, which can place them into consideration for this and other donor-supported awards. The 2027 application is scheduled to open January 15 and close March 15, 2027. Applicants should be pursuing education connected to restaurant operations, culinary arts, foodservice, hospitality, hotel and restaurant management, tourism, food science, or a related industry discipline. The program gives first preference to qualified applicants from Monterey County, California, followed by applicants elsewhere in California; students from other parts of the United States may be considered after those priority groups. NRAEF awards more than $1 million in scholarships annually across its portfolio, but neither NRAEF nor MCHA publishes a guaranteed amount or recipient count for the David Armanasco fund on the current official pages, so the award is recorded as variable. Applicants should use the official NRAEF page during the January-to-March window and follow the current common-form instructions rather than relying on archived third-party forms.
