David A. Ladizki Law School Scholarship
Offered by Hampden County Bar Foundation
About this scholarship
The David A. Ladizki Law School Scholarship helps long-term residents of Hampden or Hampshire County, Massachusetts attend an accredited law school. The Hampden County Bar Foundation established the fund through a gift from attorney David A. Ladizki, a bankruptcy and real-estate lawyer who valued education and professional connection. Applicants must have been admitted for the upcoming academic year to a certified law school and may attend either full time or part time. They must currently live in Hampden or Hampshire County and must have lived in one of those counties for at least five years; preference is given to Hampden County residents. The official application sets an annual July 15 deadline, making July 15, 2027 the next cycle date. Candidates are assessed on academic achievement, extracurricular accomplishments, and financial need. A complete mailed submission includes the sponsor’s application form, a résumé, and a brief statement explaining the applicant’s goals and reasons for entering law school. The form also requests academic, employment, household, and financial information. Finalists may be invited to an interview. A selected recipient must provide proof of law-school registration before scholarship funds are released directly to the student.
