About this scholarship

The Danish Government Scholarships are funded by the Danish state and administered by individual Danish universities to attract highly qualified students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. The award is granted as a full or partial tuition-fee waiver and/or as a grant covering basic living expenses, with the exact mix decided by each university; for master's programmes it generally applies for the two years of study. A convenient feature is that there is no separate scholarship application — you simply apply for admission to a master's programme at a Danish university, and all eligible applicants who are offered a place are automatically considered for the scholarship, with selection based primarily on previous academic records (GPA). To be eligible, you must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland and be admitted to a Danish master's programme with a time-limited residence permit for the purpose of study.
