Daisy Family Foundation Scholarship
Offered by Daisy Family Foundation
About this scholarship
The Daisy Family Foundation Scholarship recognizes students preparing for healthcare careers who combine sound academics with service to underserved or diverse communities. The Foundation publishes an annual application period from April 1 through May 31, making the next scheduled deadline May 31, 2027. Its 2026 cycle awarded three $2,000 scholarships, with funds sent directly to each recipient’s educational institution for tuition or related academic expenses. Eligible students may be undergraduates, graduate students, or professional students enrolled in an accredited medical, nursing, public-health, or other healthcare-related program. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, remain in good academic standing, and hold at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. The program particularly values evidence of compassionate care and a commitment to improving health equity. Required materials include a current curriculum vitae, an official transcript or proof of enrollment, two recommendations from faculty members, medical professionals, mentors, or community leaders, and a personal statement of no more than 500 words describing community involvement and commitment to underserved populations. Finalists may be interviewed in June, and recipients are ordinarily announced in July. Previous applicants and recipients may apply again if they continue to satisfy the requirements.
