Community Foundation of West Texas Scholarship Program

Offered by Community Foundation of West Texas

About this scholarship

The Community Foundation of West Texas will open its 2027 scholarship application on December 1, 2026 and close it on February 1, 2027. The Foundation awards more than 100 scholarships to South Plains-area students each year through a Universal Application. Applicants create an account in the direct Foundant portal, answer the common questions, and are then shown the individual scholarships for which their responses indicate eligibility. They must complete and submit any additional questions for each matched opportunity; a dashboard marked “Action Needed” means the process is not finished. The official catalog includes awards for graduating seniors, current college or trade-school students, adult and career-transitioning learners, veterans and military families, employee families, and students pursuing fields such as nursing, education, engineering, paralegal studies, agriculture, cancer research, music, and other disciplines. Many funds are tied to a specific county, school, employer, institution, major, service record, or financial-need profile. Award amounts differ, and payments go directly to the recipient’s school for tuition, fees, and books. Unused funds are returned to the Foundation. Applicants should review every matched fund and click Submit on each completed scholarship before the February 1 deadline.
