Colorado Masons’ Benevolent Fund Four-Year Scholarship

Offered by Colorado Masons’ Benevolent Fund Association

About this scholarship

The Colorado Masons’ Benevolent Fund Four-Year Scholarship helps graduating seniors from Colorado public high schools attend an accredited college, university, or other institution of higher learning within Colorado. Recent awards have provided up to $7,000 per year and can total $28,000 over four years or until the recipient completes a bachelor’s degree. Selection emphasizes leadership, maturity, financial need, and scholastic ability. No Masonic relationship is required, and the program awards without regard to race, religion, sex, or national origin. Home-school students may qualify when they have a relationship with their local public school through activities such as band or sports. The official application packet requires a personal letter addressing goals, need, and reasons for selection; a complete high school transcript; a college acceptance letter; a FAFSA Student Aid Report; and four recommendation letters. Applicants must also arrange a personal interview with the Masonic lodge assigned to their high school using the official contact form. The complete packet and interview must be finished by the annual March 15 deadline. The downloadable application is the direct form; students should begin the lodge-contact step early enough to secure an interview before submission.
