Colorado Christian University Legacy Scholarship

About this scholarship

Colorado Christian University’s Legacy Scholarship helps new freshmen and transfer students continue a family connection to CCU. The award is $1,250 per academic year and can total up to $5,000 across eight semesters in the College of Undergraduate Studies. An applicant qualifies through a parent or sibling who graduated from, or is currently enrolled in, CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies, College of Adult and Graduate Studies, or one of CCU’s recognized heritage institutions. The award may be stacked with an academic or merit scholarship and potentially with other federal or institutional aid. However, a student may receive only one award from CCU’s three Legacy and Partner categories: Legacy, Partners in Christian Education, or Partner Organizations. Students apply for admission through CCU’s live undergraduate application and then consult their assigned enrollment counselor for the affiliation documentation and scholarship steps. CCU accepts admission applications on a rolling basis until capacity is reached; its published priority date for fall financial-aid and scholarship consideration is April 1. The award is guaranteed for up to eight semesters if the student maintains satisfactory academic progress, remains continuously enrolled in the College of Undergraduate Studies, and takes coursework that satisfies an eligible degree program.

Eligibility

• Apply as a new freshman or transfer student to CCU’s College of Undergraduate Studies
• Have a parent or sibling who is a current student or graduate of CCU or a recognized CCU heritage institution
• Document the qualifying family affiliation through a CCU enrollment counselor
• Receive no other scholarship from the Legacy, Partners in Christian Education, or Partner Organizations categories
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress and continuous enrollment for renewal
• Enroll each semester in coursework that counts toward an eligible undergraduate degree
